Syria has played a good hand in the current war against Israel. Their ambassador made the disingenuous comment that Syria is ready to talk anytime but the Bush administration has ignored them for the past six years. This of course is merely a manipulation of the American Left. It is working and working well. It is true that the Bush Administration is the first in recent years to publicly ignore Syria; the other contacts by other Presidents have yielded nothing positive.
Assad, Senior and now Junior, have talked and talked but done nothing to assist the United States in bringing peace to the region. On the contrary, Syria along with Iran has done more to destabilize the situation than any other nation. The rulers of these nations are shrewd, ruthless, and determined to reach the desired outcome: the destruction of Israel no matter what the cost. The American political Left simply can not admit this. So they grasp at straws, and any opportunity to vent their rage and hatred of George Bush.
The Administration clearly got more than they expected with the liberation of Iraq. Paul Wolfowitz must be quite relieved to be at the World Bank and out of the Defense Department. He and Donald Rumsfeld did not think through the consequences of this action and persuaded George to proceed. Now the situation is that Iraq’s WMD are most likely to be in Syria’s possession and will undoubtedly be used if the threat to Assad’s dictatorship becomes serious.
The American Left is simply out of touch. Witness the latest juvenile attitude towards the reality that abounds; Dennis Kucinich has proposed a Cabinet level position to counter the Defense Department. He wants to establish a Department of Peace. Simply changing words can not change the world.

Taxes for Power
Beating a dead horse is never much fun, unless it keeps showing signs of life. Dennis Kucinich, Democrat from Ohio, has proposed a partial nationalization of the United States’ oil industry. Under his bill the US government would confiscate “excess profits.” This of course is a sure way to guarantee that oil prices will go higher as supplies dwindle due to lack of interest on the part of the oil companies.
The emergence of this bill dovetails nicely with the view that liberals can’t be trusted with economies. They will inevitably destroy the good life because their definition of the good life is them telling everyone else how to live. What in the world are excess profits? In a competitive world a company can never make enough money if it wants to survive. Kucinich has stated that the oil companies are running the US, in particular Washington, if true why is he still being heard from? His actions are admirable from one point of view and that is at least he is telling the truth about himself and his views; something most Democrat politicians will never do. They prefer the bait and switch tactics of promise to make changes and then just enjoy the privileges of power.
The human race must prefer monarchies in its heart of hearts. The strong leader be he a king, dictator, prime minister, or president is admired and respected. How else can Fidel Castro, Vladimir Putin, Hugo Chavez, Osama Bin Laden, be explained? Muslims really do believe all the gibberish about martyrs and the 72 virgins whether liberals like it or not. Not only will they die willingly when instructed to do so by their leaders they look forward to it. This makes them a very difficult enemy to defeat: they win by losing.
The Democrats are hell bent on destroying the US economy simply to blame it on the Republican penchant for spending. The rather simple minded view of many Americans that the government should and can take care of them is the result of 40 years of Democrat rule which ruined the public system of education and reduced the amount of critical thinking that goes on.

Land Purchase Reveals
Cindy Sheehan’s duplicitous purchase of land near President Bush’s ranch in Crawford, Texas reveals a character trait of left and ultra-left thinkers: they are inherently dishonest when it comes to achieving their goals. This is true from Cuba to Venezuela, to Brazil, and to Argentina. It will be true in the United States if the MoveOn.org crowd is ever able to obtain power.
The ultra left loves Castro, Chavez and the like and will emulate them if ever they come to power. These countries have no economic life to speak of; yes Venezuela has petro-dollars but not much else. In Argentina the new regime is perverting the courts in much the same way the left has done in the United States for decades. The result is false imprisonment and the welcome mat for Fidel Castro; one of the world’s premier communist dictators. Only Kim Jung IL can be considered worse.
The left in America promise to eradicate poverty, they have doing so since 1933 and redoubled their efforts in 1965 when LBJ launched the war on poverty. Like all other wars on social ills it has been a spectacular failure. Poverty is listed as the number one problem facing children who are “at risk” in the public schools. The real problem is too much administration, disinterested instructors, apathetic parents, and cultural resistance.
All this is courtesy of political correctness; a euphemism for a scheme to prevent criticism on the basis of fairness.
The George Soros’ of the world show their deceitfulness everyday and proudly demonstrate their intellectual dishonesty when they compare anyone who disagrees with them as Nazi’s. They are so caught up in their dreams of power and self-importance that they cannot do anything simply for the good of all. If after 73 years poverty programs continue to enrich the vendors and administrators, leaving out the poor, why should the left is trusted to get anything right?
In the United States the right wing politicians continue to miss opportunities to get the job done. They are cowed by political correctness and the enjoyment of the perks of power. They too are intellectually bankrupt caring only to be re-elected and increase their personal net worth if possible. George Bush is undoubtedly a good person, but for a 59 year old man he is pretty naïve and trusts the judgment of cynics a little too much.
There seems little to expect from these two groups somehow the average American will soldier on despite the Susan Sarandons, the Nancy Pelosis, the Anne Coulters, and the rest of those who would divide and destroy civil society.

The Threat is Real
Al-Zawahiri must be taken seriously. His message today makes clear several things that have been discussed here and are currently being discussed around most of the world. It is imperative that the threats from Al-Qaeda be evaluated at face value. They are threatening attacks worldwide that won’t stop until Israel ceases to exist.
Nothing the do-gooders try will ameliorate this problem. The solution is the complete abandonment of support for Israel; the Europeans took this action many years ago. The United States will never abandon Israel; it cannot. In fact it would be no surprise to learn that the United States is encouraging Israel and is certainly replenishing the military supplies being consumed in this conflict.
It’s very interesting to hear the translation of the video message from Al-Zawahiri the stilted nature of the phrasing and the use of archaic language illustrates exactly what century these people represent. They are about 800 years behind the West culturally. While obvious it also points up the seriousness of the threat and the futility of negotiation. These are people who are willing to die to the last man; the West is practically unfamiliar with this concept.

Soon there will be suicide bombings in Shopping Malls, on the crowded streets of major US cities, and other violence. What then? John Kerry has said that if he were president the current conflict between Israel and her enemies would not have happened. How can this be? Does Mr. Kerry mean that he is able to control Iran and Syria? On the other hand Howard Dean is accusing Mr. Maliki, the current Iraqi Prime Minister, of anti-Semitism. Which side are the Democrats on? Over the years they have tried to influence Israel to give in to their Arab, and now Muslim enemies. Now, with elections approaching, they are backpedaling.
The Arabs and Iranians are not really anti-Semitic as they are also a Semitic people but they are anti-Israel and that is the problem. The Muslims will never stop attacking Israel this is the salient fact that must be faced; there is no peaceful solution to the problem. Politicians in the United States and the entire non-Muslim world are in denial. Both American political parties are approaching the situation from the wrong angle. Our enemies are determined to wipe us out.
There are no moderate Muslims. It is acceptable according to the Koran to deceive one’s enemies. If there are Muslims who want a peaceful co-existence then they should make an effort to expose those that don’t. They should inform authorities about the activities of terrorists. The non-Muslim world should propose a plan for peace but prepare for war; a bloody disastrous one. It is almost certain that Iran will use nuclear weapons once it has the ability to do so.

British Open
The R&A must be feeling a bit embarrassed today. The tournament was superb, but the crowds were rude and certainly not knowledgeable about golf. To top it off the course was defaced by some people demonstrating either for or against something. In my opinion it should be another 39 years before the Open comes to Hoylake again.
The Royal Liverpool course is wonderful; too bad it is near Liverpool. It seems that Liverpudlians have no sense of decorum. The drama created by the match between Tiger Woods and Chris DiMarco was disgraced by the crowd’s behavior. The spectators can only be called crowd or mob based on what happened. The players had to back away on each shot and start again; it’s amazing that they were able to perform so well.
Perhaps it was the unusually warm weather that irritated the fans; after all it did get up to 80 degrees during the tournament. During the next PGA Championship in Medinah, Indiana, the temperatures will reach 100F but there will be no such outrageous behavior as was witnessed today in England. It has been said that English society has been coarsened; it seems to have been borne out today.

Face The Facts
Following the events of the most recent Arab-Israeli crisis one might imagine that Hezbollah and Hamas are comparable to misunderstood juvenile delinquents and that with love and understanding they will calm down and become productive citizens. CNN International has praised Nasrallah as being a benefactor of the Lebanese people. Their report made no mention of the number of murders he has committed and had committed by his followers.
The entire West is behaving quite naively. Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and Syria have only one objective: the wipe out all Christians, Jews, Sufi, and Sunni Muslims. That’s it plain and simple. They are not going away. The religious police are being re-introduced in the Afghan society; many lives have been lost in vain if this is allowed to happen.
The correct course of action for the United States at this point is a complete withdrawal from Afghanistan and Iraq. The US should position its military so that when the slightest terrorist attack takes place overwhelming and obliterating force can be unleashed destroying the enemy at the rate of ten times the damage done to Americans. There will be no occupation, just a scorched earth leaving destitution and misery behind; and no helping hand afterwards.
Then and only then will peace be even remotely possible. The Arab Street, so loved by the media, is uneducated, emotional, and desperate apparently unable to figure out the consequences of their actions. So let them die. That is their view towards those they consider their enemies. Fill heaven with Muslims first, then let nature take its course with the rest of the human race.

Terror Again and Again
The United States and its Allies, if there are any, have miscalculated, and underestimated the power of Islam on the emotions of poorly educated and underemployed Muslims. To a certain degree the charges of American arrogance in its foreign policy are true. Across the political spectrum of American life there is a drift towards denial. The conservative and evangelical people feel strongly that Christ will save them. In reality the evangelicals don’t care they just want to get to Heaven; sound familiar?
The atheists, agnostics, Satanists, and lukewarm Christians, Buddhists, and the rest of the ultra left wing think religion is either despicable or a great club to belong to. The religious teachings are certainly not to be taken seriously. As a result these people can not conceive of anyone taking them seriously. This is a big mistake. Western culture has a strong tradition of dissent; Arab culture has no tradition of dissent. That is why you see them jumping up and down in the streets chanting death to those who disagree with them or their leaders. Of course were they to disagree with their leaders beheading might be in order.
My prediction is war and more of it; and probably in the most brutal sense. For those who are strictly religious the promise of Heaven means more than one more dollar in the bank. Of course the leaders of such people don’t really believe the ideas they preach they want power and could care less about Heaven. The Pope wears Prada shoes, of course we don’t know about Mullah Kahmeni but we can guess.
The West will continue to bolster political correctness in the hope that if we cynically love our enemies they will reciprocate. That idea is actually a death sentence.

Iran is about three steps away from fomenting a global clash that is anyone’s guess about the consequences. The Arab- Jewish (Israeli) war of extermination has been going on since 1948 its agonizing prelude being the Final Solution attempted by the Nazis.
The joke is on the West. The attempt to rid Europe of its Jews, known as the partition of Palestine and the creation of the Jewish state made the industrial world’s dependence on oil the basis of the coming world war. In the early years no one paid much attention to the potential problem because essentially only the United States had a strong demand for oil and most of that was met through local production. Still the international oils companies searched the Arabian Desert for more reserves. As European prosperity returned their economies placed further strain on oil resources, but oil was mined so cheaply that the impact was minimal.
Gamal Nasser began to change all that. The United Arab League wanted its share of the oil wealth that the West was expropriating from their lands. The oil embargo of the 1970s pushed prices higher and led to contract renegotiation in favor of the host countries; in particular Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, and Syria. During the years between 1948 and 1967 the Arabs attempted to blot out Israel, with help from Russia, but were remarkably unsuccessful. Of course Iranians are not Arabs but they are Muslims and fanatical ones at that. The world was soon to learn that there is little worse than rich fanatics.
Western Civilization is in great peril but no one seems to believe this or even cares about it. The Conservative view is that this can be coped with by force if necessary, but why worry about the Arabs when some brilliant scientist will most likely solve the problem with another form of energy. There’s not really much hope of that, certainly not in the short term. The Liberal view is that the world will be better off without Western Civilization as it is at the root of all that is wrong in the world. A more conceited, arrogant view of life is difficult to conceive.
Without Israel it is more than likely that the oil rich Middle Eastern nations ( invented by Britain, France, and the US) would have developed along Western lines with Islam still being the basis of their political systems; but probably not Wahabbi Islam. The Soviet Union manipulated their client states and incited their attempts at eliminating Israel as part of the plan to push the US around during the Cold War. The problem became one of weapons, dictators, and totalitarian states with the industrialized west’s money going to the Soviet Union to pay for military hardware and training. It could only be this way because the US supported Israel as for a time did the Europeans. That has changed leaving only the US supporting Israel.
At this moment the Iranians and Syrians, through their clients Hamas and Hezbollah, feel strong enough to start a war that no one will be able to control. Some very hard times are coming; economically, physically, and possibly the use of nuclear weapons. Get ready.

A Conservative Court
I guess the Liberals fear that the Supreme Court was becoming too Conservative can be put to rest. The recent Court decision that terrorists and combatants without uniforms must be accorded the rights guaranteed under the Geneva Convention Treaty. This is patently absurd as the treaty specifically excludes these types of combatants. It is one more sign that the Liberals cannot be trusted with protecting the nation. This is not surprising as they don’t subscribe to the notion of nationhood.
In a back-handed way though the decision is an opportunity, these prisoners can be held until the war’s end and can then be repatriated to their homelands. No need for trials, they can be employed productively, they must be paid whatever money their contract with their “army” was, and they don’t have to be tried; though they can be. This means no more controversy about holding prisoners indefinitely, without a charge. The charge has been made by the US Supreme Court: they are prisoners of war.
The Bush Administration should simply announce that no further prisoner releases are possible as the war is continuing. Everyone can go home when it’s over. It has even been suggested that any captured US soldiers now have a better chance of survival due to this Court action. Their chances have now been upgraded from none to slim.
The MoveOn.Org crowd dominates the Democrat Party and as such has condemned them to absence from power. They will continue in the minority until they get in step with the majority. Most Americans only want to work, raise a family, and enjoy leisure time and to do so safely within normal limits. These limits do not include encouraging terrorists to murder them. Life being fragile needs some reasonable form of protection. This goes way beyond the fat police, the political correctness squads, the seat-belters, and the myriad of other do gooders. The government’s main and real job is to guarantee the life of the nation.

This means no more controversy about holding prisoners indefinitely, without a charge. The charge has been made by the US Supreme Court: they are prisoners of war.
The Bush Administration should simply announce that no further prisoner releases are possible as the war is continuing. Everyone can go home when it’s over. It has even been suggested that any captured US soldiers now have a better chance of survival due to this Court action. Their chances have now been upgraded from none to slim.
The MoveOn.Org crowd dominates the Democrat Party and as such has condemned them to absence from power. They will continue in the minority until they get in step with the majority. Most Americans only want to work, raise a family, and enjoy leisure time and to do so safely within normal limits. These limits do not include encouraging terrorists to murder them. Life being fragile needs some reasonable form of protection. This goes way beyond the fat police, the political correctness squads, the seat-belters, and the myriad of other do gooders. The government’s main and real job is to guarantee the life of the nation.

Here Come the Missiles
I guess the ultra left wing thinkers around the world are celebrating the launch of seven missiles by one of their idols Kim Jung Il II. That great beneficiary of the North Korean people, a communist, and a terrorist is one of the darlings of the left. Why is this? Why do the Michael Moore, Susan Sarandon, Nancy Pelosi, types so admire this kind of government? Let Castro put journalists in prison for 75 years and there is not a peep from the left. Let George Bush follow-up on the Clinton doctrine of regime change in Iraq and they go crazy.
The Democrats heap praise on Hugo Chavez as he ruins Venezuela and castigate George Bush as he protects them and every other citizen of the USA. The Europeans dilly-dally with Iran while the Iranians mock them. China and India are the world’s worst polluters yet the left constantly and persistently blame the USA for all the world’s problems. What would happen if Greenpeace re-located its headquarters to Shanghai or Mumbai?
Would criticism of the government’s policy of the Peoples Republic of China be accepted with aplomb? It is more than likely that such critics would be imprisoned or banished. India, being a democracy, would be different but not much. Unless the critics were Hindu it is within reason that might be assassinated. Much the same could be expected in Iran if the critics are not Muslim; or even if they are.

Happy Birthday America
The United States will celebrate its 230th birthday tomorrow. Despite apparent internal divisions the nation is still strong and prosperous and a benefit to the rest of the world. The founding fathers devised a strong model for a civil society that can change with the times yet maintain its sense of community. Even today with the pressures of illegal immigrants civil discourse is continuing. The democratic tradition of self-expression is operating smoothly. Of course there are those that dispute this and they are primarily self-directed and disappointed that their views are not taken as gospel by the rest of us.
Speaking of the gospels is the United States truly founded on the Christian tradition? The most likely conclusion is yes but with some qualification. Many of the Founders were Deists and while they believed in the existence of a Creator it is not clear that they were Christians in the modern sense. The separation from England was practically forced upon the rebels, members of many Christian sects based on the Judaic tradition. From there we get the Ten Commandments and some legal structure. Most of the legal system is based on English common law and Enlightment thinkers from England and France.
The United States is a shining example of what is possible. The rest of the world is envious of the American achievement. Americans are bewildered by this but they should not be confused. When any person, institution, or nation is more successful than others anger, jealous, even hatred can result. This is because all people are not created equal except in the sense of opportunities that are available. Americans are hard working by culture, willing to take risks, happy to lend a helping hand, even die for some one else’s freedom.
Citizens of the USA are products of many cultures and have embraced the one tradition of the US Constitution. This makes for interesting debate. The culture is slowly changing for the worse. More and more the citizenry thinks the government should rule their lives, the sense of responsibility is waning, and the victim mentality is growing. The childish concern for what other nations might think of the US is gaining ground. The left’s promise of Utopia is becoming more attractive. A warning example should be seen in the fate of New Orleans. The Democrat Party has ruled the city and the state of Louisiana for more than one hundred years. It is crime-ridden and poverty stricken. The gap between the haves and the have-nots is remarkable. Government corruption is legendary.
Why should one suppose that the extension of this style of government will benefit the nation?

Treason
Treason? I don’t agree with the New York Times’ editorial decision to print the story about counterterrorism techniques, but doing so is not treason. The treasonous act was committed by the government worker who revealed the details of the story. The Times and others have a constitutional right to be stupid, irresponsible, anytime they please. I don’t side with the ultra left or ultra right politically.
All this excitement on the far right is misplaced and might compared with the idiotic statements made by the wacky left with regard to the supreme court decision yesterday that invalidated the government’s ability to imprison terrorists. Nancy Pelosi, a dimwit if ever there was one, made the claim that this decision proves that America is ruled by laws, and that this was a victory for civil rights. No terrorist has civil rights in the USA. Should Ms. Pelosi be considered a traitor? There might well be circumstances that warrant it but as I said being stupid is not a crime.
The various media outlets that print revealing stories about government activity would probably being doing so if the ruling party was the Democrat Party. This is the real tragedy. The public cannot really trust the news media to bring an accurate picture of the world around us. The left wing elite considers themselves to be better than most of the citizens of the USA; more cultured, more intelligent, more perceptive, and for that reason they feel entitled to make decisions for the rest of us.

Is Sexual Deviation Possible
When considering deviation one must first clearly define the norm. In the case of sexual deviation this might be more difficult than it appears. If deviation from anything heterosexual is consideration straying from the norm, then confidence in one’s position must begin to waver. It can be said that there are two kinds of sexual deviation: random and deliberate. The former usually results from a physical difference, for example being hermaphroditic while the latter is a choice based on the desire to be different, or even fashionable.
A hermaphrodite has both male and female characteristics which choice impossible for the long term. This condition makes possible those apocryphal stories of marriage where the male partner did not realize that his female partner was actually a man; of course his was both. Is this condition evolutionary? Probably not since it has been remarked upon from time immemorial. Is it deviant? That is the difficult question society must come to grips with. There are other causes of gender confusion including genetic and hormonal anomalies. These too might fall within what is called normal.

For some reason in the USA it is very fashionable for women to be “bisexual” expressing and acting out their attraction to men and women; particularly women in public. The sheer number of these cases makes it impossible to consider them genuine. The most recent high profile case was the relationship of Ellen Degeneris and Anne Heche in which case Ms. Heche decided that she was not a lesbian after all. Was that sexual deviation, experimentation, or something else?
At most, if not all, high schools, colleges, and universities this trend is rampant. Does this signal a rapid degeneration of American society or simply an immature response to growing older? The attitudes of those in the trans-gender movement suggest immaturity and the unwillingness to confront life head on or accept responsibility. In all groups there are those who lead and those who follow. In the case of trans-gender most of the followers are being manipulated and get in line to have a place to go. This is also the case in many fringe groups who provide no benefit to society at large.
Sexual deviation does not include predation. These individuals are merely violent criminals who are now able to more safely abduct, assault, and murder their victims. This is possible because of the culture of “victim-hood,” which absolves anyone including monsters from the responsibility of their actions. It cannot be said with complete confidence that sexual deviation actually exists, but it may be said that the behavior of those who choice is deliberate is destructive.

Ethnic slurs
Ethnic slurs can only work on a population that kind of believes they are true. What this means is that those being stereotyped and insulted are insecure about their position in society and have inkling that such an insult may well include them. For this reason ethnic or racial slurs do not have the same effect, or really any effect, on the majority (white) citizens of the USA. The terms “cracker”, “honkie”, “anglo”, “gringo”, “charley”, or “whitey” do not have them same painful effect as “wetback”, “nigger”, “spic”. These words are powerful to those they are used against conjuring up memories most of those effected don’t have.
The fears and insecurities about being accepted as simply another person are deep seated and difficult to overcome. By the same token those who hurl these imprecations are revealing their own fears. Prejudices are often obtained unconsciously by simple participation in society. They are poorly understood and confusing to those who possess them and almost impossible to fully overcome. A racial epithet used in earnest is a horrible thing most often done in painful jest. In some ways they are archaic while being contemporary, they are flung to remind those who are the object of their lesser place in the social group.
Even when used humorously they are dangerous in the sense that they , at the least, exacerbate social division and at worst they widen the divide. Intended to sting and push the person or group back however slightly from gaining on the user. When a person of color, (what a goofy term) tries the same thing it falls flat because they don’t actually threaten the majority. Certainly within the white group there are imprecations that are subtly used “Polacks”, “Canucks”, “Kikes”, “Wops”, “Dagos”, all have the same intent; to separate within the group a create a pecking order. Assimilation defeats all this.
It is therefore urgent that, in any country, immigrants be assimilated and indoctrinated in the language and traditions of their new home country. Without this the majority will be creating a mass of discontented and disappointed citizens.

It’s a funny old world. The Democrats and their ultra liberal allies hope for national disaster because they think it will help them regain power. The far left is ecstatic that two US soldiers were tortured to death and beheaded. These bloggers feel that all Americans that don’t agree with them should meet the same fate. It is heartbreaking to contemplate that because most of these left wing nutjobs are young and poorly educated that they have no sense of history and no sense of the biological good fortune they enjoy. Had they been born in Nigeria, Zambia, Iraq, Iran, or Palestine they would not be enjoying the privileges and pleasures of life as they do.
They forget or won’t acknowledge the sacrifices of hundreds of thousands of young Americans that were made to prevent tyranny in Europe and to preserve the freedoms of the United States of America. The phony Euro intellectuals naturally despise the United States because they won’t defend themselves and hate the fact that in reality they are dependent on the USA. Gratitude, or the need for it, prompts hatred towards the benefactor in most cases. Most people have an innate longing to be self-sufficient and when they are not then their confidence suffers long and gradual erosion.
The fact that any American can rejoice at the death of a fellow citizen gives the lie to their agendas. During the Vietnam War it was common to find dead US soldiers with their bodies mutilated, yet the NVA and VC remained the darlings of the American Left. These people must be tolerated but they are not to be trusted. It is ironic that a Democrat fiefdom, New Orleans, Louisiana, is cesspool of poverty, crime, and public corruption instead of the Utopia promised us by the Democrats.
Victory cannot be claimed in Iraq, according to the Democrats, until there is zero violence, yet just in the month of June alone there have more than 30 murders. When can we claim victory in New Orleans?

What does it mean
Illegal immigrants and illegal immigration in general have a largely negative impact on life in the United States. The benefits gained from cheap labor must be weighed against the higher crime rates, burden on social services, dilution of our culture (of liberal intellectuals don’t believe that anything can make it worse), and a general erosion of democratic values.
The crime rate in North Carolina has risen at an amazing pace. North Carolina is the third largest recipient of immigrants, legal and illegal, violent crimes have increased the most. It is quite normal to read or hear of Hispanic surnames in conjunction with these crimes. While it seems that most are related to drug transactions and trafficking many are domestic quarrels, alcohol induced rage, and other acts related to those behaviors developed in a corrupt country like Mexico.
There is also the new racial tension to consider. Hispanics and African-Americans are enemies. They are competing for scarce social resources and for low paying low skilled jobs. It is astounding how in so few years the complexion of certain jobs has changed. It is extremely rare to see white or African-American house painters; approximately 85% of house painters are Mexican. This is the case in landscaping, janitorial, and even beginning to be seen in municipal jobs. The latter has been the nearly exclusive province of African-Americans as “affirmative action” has taken hold at all levels of government.
The racial epithets tossed around are of course disgraceful, but more than that they are unexpected and disconcerting; especially to whites who have been conditioned to abstain from such use of language. The terms nigger, spic, and worse are now bandied about without thought and apparent malicious intent. Nearly 90% of illegals are Mexican. As its detractors love to point out it is not perfect. Throughout my travels around the world I met many people wanting to come here to live and raise families. This should be encouraged. Recognition of America’s greatness and promise must also be made clear. Language should be forced on the immigrants; no more dual language signs, instructions, etc., should be allowed. More Thoughts On Conspiracy
Why were the accusations about President Bush’s National Guard Service accepted as true yet the Zarqawi memos and letters disdained immediately by the left? I’ve been giving this a little more thought and have concluded that, like children waiting for Santa Claus, the ultra-libs are simply too immature to understand grown up life. Even if they are 50, 60, or like my parents 80, they either maintain or revert to a naiveté that is wonderful.
A woman must have the right to an abortion, but no murderers can be killed by a legal death sentence. So called reproductive rights is merely another term for irresponsibility. Personally I don’t think we should execute convicted criminals; it coarsens society and is too easy on the murderers. There is also the possibility of innocence being punished instead of the guilty. A random act of sexual intercourse should also not condemn a life to death.

Conspiracy Nuts Are Loose Again
Well the conspiracy freaks are out in force. They, and their left wing nutjobs, want the United States to dissolve in ignominy so much that they can’t see themselves. The latest is the Zarqawi memo saying that he was having a tough time with the Americans; they want failure so desperately that they have concluded that it is a fake. It is a fake because it contradicts their view of not only how things are going, but how things should go against the USA which is the bane of the universe. Of course they can say and think anything they want in the USA, but I wonder how it would play out in Saudi Arabia where the death penalty is required for homosexuality, blasphemy, adultery, drug use, speaking out against the government and a variety of other liberal habits.
I actually enjoy their stupidity and the intransigent desire for American failure anywhere. The Democrats are ridiculous, and I am a still a registered Democrat as I have been since the age of 21. At that time the voting age was set at that level. My party has left me behind. I now have no party allegiance and vote on issues not personalities. The liberals are hilarious because they consider themselves the only people with intelligence. Of course their guilt feelings and self-hatred don’t seem to encourage them to leave the safety of the United States and go to the trouble spots to render aid.

Nuts On The Loose
The momentous events of recent days, including Zarqawi’s death have revealed left wing kooks and UN deceivers for what they are. The far left propaganda machine is in high gear and railing against heaven for these disasters to their cause. Their behavior is so childish that it would be funny if only it weren’t so serious. They can’t get off the global warming bandwagon, Kofi Anan is demanding an investigation into the killing of Zarqawi, one of our most bitter enemies, and Harry Reid is getting sleazier than ever.
The United States is divided between those who want a stable capitalist society and those who hope to bring an extreme form of socialism to bear. If the Moveon.org crowd are elected it will be interesting to see how far they can get. My guess is that confistacatory taxation, new government agencies to employ their followers and to control the rest of us will be the order of the day.
Of course there will be no defending our vital interests let alone our national sovereignty. These people obviously hate themselves and their fellow citizens. Their intellectual and moral capacity is very limited as evidenced by their statements. Bill Clinton is now blaming Republicans for the weather and his followers believe it.
If this behavior wasn’t so stupid it would be really discouraging. I am betting that the majority of US voters won’t be duped but you never know.

A Blow to Democrats and Terrorists
Today the Democrat Party and the Iraqi terror organization suffered a severe setback: Al-Zarqawi was killed by US troops yesterday afternoon. This action will buoy the spirits of the American public, cast the Democrat’s defeatism into stark relief, and demonstrate that when in trouble one should never give up just because fatigue sets in. This is indeed a happy day and it is fortunate that this murderer was killed and not arrested. Imagine the nightmare of liberal law groups apologizing for Zarqawi’s behavior and defending him as a misunderstood leader of lawful insurgents. Ramsey Clark must be feeling left out this morning.
Ah, the ACLU’s disappointment is palpable; Tim Robbins and Sean Penn cannot believe that one of their heroes has departed the world stage. Who can they idolize? Well Castro, Chavez, and Vicente Fox are still around. This event gives everyone some breathing room, everyone except Osama Bin Laden he must be a little shaken. It can be imagined that even the Iranians will take a brief pause to consider the historical inevitability of their proposed actions.
The relief that will be felt will of course be short-lived, but it does give hope that an end can be achieved; the successful democratization of Iraq and other Arab nations. That cultural hatred may be overcome, that death and destruction don’t have to triumph over hope and love.

Tolerance
Tolerance is a virtue preached by many but observed by few. Fundamentalists of any stripe are almost by definition intolerant, and their rationale is based mostly on fear. Fundamentalist UFO observers will not tolerate nor consider another view; they are correct and that is that. The same goes for liberal Hollywood, homophobic Baptists, narrow minded Roman Catholics, Islamic western haters, and in US politics nut cases on the right and left.
The terms used to describe the best courses of action include exterminate, eliminate, destroy, “death to,” and many others heard daily on chat shows and news programs. So called intellectuals including Noam Chomsky, Thomas Friedman, are actually cowardly commentators with an ostrich-like approach to the world’s problems. When Islam takes over things will change drastically and not for the better.
Can Islam overwhelm Western Civilization? Of course it can and it is likely that it will if the liberal, progressive part of the nations continues their present behavior. At least there will no longer be worries about Christian symbols in public buildings. Everyone will either be a Muslim or dead. There will be no question of gay marriage, pornography, elections, the only option for dissent will be whether Shia, Sunni, of Sufi is the mosque you attend.
Simply look around and make a note of each incident of intolerance you encounter or promote; was it helpful?

Kofi Anan A Thinking Man's Moron
I just finished reading Kofi Anan’s latest editorial in the Wall Street Journal. Why the United States still tolerates such a man and such an organization is a mystery to me. What he wrote is so cynically aimed at the US that one must gasp at the audacity. He is a total hypocrite.
In the article he praises migration and puts its inevitability down to the establishment of national borders. This of course is absurd. Does he mean the have never been migrations until borders were established? He goes on to extol the virtues of migration to the host countries that benefit greatly from the assimilation of the “irregular migrants.” Is he referring to France, Germany, Britain, China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Venezuela, Mexico; or just the United States of America? The USA is virtually the only nation that assimilates newcomers so that by the second or third generation the home country is only a distant memory drawn from conversations with elders.
Kofi also mentions the benefits to the home country of the billions of dollars sent home. This is probably closer to the mark as places like Mexico do little to stimulate an economy that will encourage those born there to stay there. Oh yes Anan does mention the downside to the home country: the loss of skilled workers. A more cynical attack on the rights of US citizens to determine their own laws in the area of immigration could not be made. The article reads like a homily from Ted Kennedy’s staff.
Kofi Anan says that UN policy will encourage continued “irregular migration” though the receiving countries are unnamed, and that while no nation will be asked to give up its border sovereignty all nations will be encouraged to accept more migrants. What a joke.
His concluding line is the ripest of all. He contends that as long as there are borders there will be migration. What genius wrote this for him, and how could he approve it? From time immemorial migrations have occurred as the result of war, famine, pestilence, and many other causes. The one thing that has never encouraged migration is the recognition by a tribe or group of people that a new border had been established and that it might be fun to violate it.

Gay Marriage No Amendment Needed
Gay Marriage: That designation is the first problem to resolve in taking on the issue of what marriage is and who cares. I could care less if men want to kiss and have some kind of sex life with other men, and I feel the same way about women who have homosexual urges. The sex acts are not the issue. The problem that should be addressed is making sure that birth rates increase and those healthy families raise children to healthy adulthood.
If one has to define a state of being with a qualifier then the assumption can be made that it is derivative and probably not as strong as the original. What is needed for homosexuals is a legal method to own and transfer property, which what this controversy is really all about. Love, sex, adultery, swingers, are all part of marriage but not part of the legal system that supports it. Homosexuals are notoriously promiscuous as a group, though there are many swans among the goats; it is possible that a legal framework that benefits homosexuals as a group and society as a whole would moderate this behavior.
There is no heterosexual marriage, only marriage. This is a social norm in all societies, even Mormons, that has made it possible to have a civilization no matter what the culture. In Muslim cultures the threat of homosexuality to society is seen as so great that the penalty for “We’re Queer and We’re Here” is death. Western Civilization has long tolerated homosexuality and even celebrated it, along with pedophilia and other questionable practices. That this is so today is made obvious every day by television newscasts of some pertinent event or other.
The tactic we are seeing is the same as most liberal causes, first the guilt trip then the legal codification of whatever is being promoted. This is true for smoking, drinking, eating, driving, cutting down a tree, and all the other joys of life that have been attenuated by the left wing seekers of immortality. Honesty is not a hallmark of such agendas, so let’s start now.
Who a person is having sex with, excepting children, acts of violence, and the mentally incompetent, should not a factor that restricts their ability to be a productive member of society and they should have all the legal property rights the rest of the group enjoys. There is one condition that is objectionable and that is the adoption of children by homosexuals. That is an area that should be forbidden. Homosexuals cannot reproduce without some outside agency’s intervention; there is a reason for that and it should obvious and left that way.
Iraq: Now What
Watching action, adventure, or spy films these days is equivalent to being a fan of pornography. It is all fantasy and the real thing is much better or worse depending on the genre and one’s predilections. The action hero always wins and the porn stars are really acrobats. With the war in Iraq winding down to a contest between the US and IED’s on the one hand, and the Wahabbi Sunni’s versus everyone else on the other, death, destruction, and horror have lost their power to do anything other than frustrate.
That the attack on Iraq by the United States was ill-advised, poorly planned, and over assumed is obvious now. At the time there were signs that such might be the case but they were too vague in the circumstances surrounding 9/11 to gain much traction. In the end it will be the bane of George Bush’s historical perspective despite all the good things he has done in the past 6 years. He now seems to be running out of gas.
Paul Wolfowitz and Donald Rumsfeld seem to have underestimated the difficulty in subduing a few Arabs in Iraq, which is certain to have been their early assessment of the problem. Even the Democrats thought so at first and were screaming in pain that Iraq was a political war that would eliminate them from power for years to come. Now, of course, they love the war as it puts them in the best position to supplant the Republicans in recent years. The United States economy is doing well, the Democrats are on the wrong side of illegal immigration, abortion, gay marriage, taxes, and a host of other issues. The war, which is not even a war anymore, is the one issue that might give them the edge.
The American people are tired of sacrificing their children for the freedom of people who don’t want it and who are unwilling to help fight for it. The attitude in the USA is becoming one of “Let them (the Iraqis) kill each other to their hearts content.” This attitude has nothing to do with the vacuous Hollywood anti-war nuts, this is a judgment based on three years of work with little to show for it.
Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz will most likely bear a large share of the historical disdain for today’s situation; Bush will bear the rest.

Haditha
“War crime” is an oxymoron as war by definition encourages bad behavior. We don’t know yet what happened at Haditha but the rumor and propaganda is already out of hand. I don’t condone anyone killing civilians deliberately and I understand how it can happen accidentally especially considering the Iraqi situation. Of course no one cares about Sunnis murdering Shiites, or Kurds killing Arabs, or Arabs killing blacks in Darfur, but don’t let the USA even have a small mistake and the world will jump on it promptly.
The citizens of the United States have a right to armed forces that can behave properly, and I think we do. In every group there will be people who can not stand up to the stress of being shot at from various angles and combatants that look like civilians. The fact that the armed forces are going to retrain their members in the ethics of warfare is ridiculous. While good behavior must be constantly reinforced, if the training didn’t take effect when initially given it probably never will.
The most disturbing thing about Haditha, beyond the obvious, is that Marine Corps officers would lie rather than discipline their troops. This abdication of responsibility is a more troubling aspect of the problem than simply a public relations one. It seems to indicate a breakdown of morale, stemming from frustration of combat and lack of societal support from home, which could bear bitter fruit. The last thing the United States needs is more self-hating liberals who tar everyone, but themselves, with the same brush.
The Vietnam debacle is and was overdone in the press and society. Those soldiers were doing what the country, most of us, wanted. Oh, today we deny it, but I was there at the time and remember quite well what happened. The main reason for student outrage was the draft. Today’s military is purely voluntary and though some deny it, everyone knows what they are signing up to do. Thank God they do sign up.

Wackos on the Move
I see the nutjobs on the left are at it again. Al Gore just can’t get over himself. I have come to the conclusion that what makes a liberal, in part, is outrage over the fact that each life has a beginning and an end. This explains their dictating to the rest of us how to live; because they don’t plan to die. No smoking, no obesity, no speeding, wear a seatbelt, worry about global warming, blame America for the faults of other nations, feel guilty about your prosperity, give in to anyone who seems angry with you, it was somehow your fault anyway.
The latest effort by Al Gore to scare us is a failure. “An Inconvenient Truth” is anything but and it may in fact become an inconvenient flop. That the earth is warming is a given, that mankind is causing is not certain. The earth is hot inside, volcanic eruptions prove this, the earth has been around for billions of years, mankind only a few million. It is unlikely that mankind will be here in even a million years: the earth will be. This inconvenient truth is what is angering the wacko left. The fact that human beings are not the most important things in the universe is anathema to them.
Every liberal knows what is best for you, better than you do. We have seen this play out in Cuba and will soon see it in Venezuela and Bolivia. All these places will self destruct as did the Soviet Union and as Russia is doing now. You think you should be able to do what you think is best for you? Don’t be ridiculous, only intellectuals know what is best for you. Why do you think there is a term for “The Common Man”? The intellectual a social elites feel that they occupy the other side “The Uncommon Man.” Believe me when I tell you that nothing could be further from the truth. I know these people well and there are some uncommon people among them, but most are very common with large bank accounts and phony degrees in things like Education, Women’s Studies, Economics, Sociology, and the like.
We must simply tolerate their behavior, childish as it is, because that’s how you give children the confidence to grow up.

Fox Go Home
Vicente Fox is advising the US on economic policy; this is laughable. Mr. Fox can’t get his own economy going fast enough to keep his citizens home. Mexico is one of the wealthiest nations in the Western Hemisphere in terms of natural resources and human capital. It is also one of the most, if not the most, corrupt nations anywhere. The word hypocrisy is too weak to describe the policies, laws, and attitudes of the Mexican people. That’s correct the people because as a democracy the people are responsible for the policies and practices that govern them.
If Mexico allowed more foreign investment the stream of immigrants to the United States would dwindle to only those who really want to live here. The best workers are leaving Mexico so why doesn’t that nation want to retain them? It would mean that the culture of bribery, deceit, and procrastination would have to change. Can such a thing happen?
Mexican laws against US participation in their economy are stringent and crippling. Any American investor that behaves as he must to succeed in Mexico is most likely in violation of US anti-bribery laws and might end up in prison. That is a risk that some take but that most won’t. The ultra rich of Mexico and all Latin American countries do not want change. The Patron culture has failed the nations but benefited the families of the rich. Their biggest risk is having to pay a ransom, quite common in those societies. The United States gets the criminals, the down trodden, the hopeful.
The USA cannot continue to absorb immigrants at the current rate. Already the seams of tolerance are straining. The issue is being couched as a civil rights matter; what a joke. To compare today with the problem of whites and blacks is ludicrous. That was a real civil rights situation and it is still being worked through.
The American left embraces Vicente Fox without criticism because they are also morally bankrupt. Americans of the leftist persuasion are emotionally weak and insecure. The important thing to them is to be viewed as gentle, caring people. They are easily manipulated because most don’t really have lives of their own. Their opinions are shaped by Newsweek and Time magazine. If it’s in print they believe it. It’s not far off the mark to assume that Mr. Fox will be more successful in the USA than he can ever hope or want to be in Mexico.

Backlash
There is a backlash coming concerning the problem of illegal immigration. The Mexican illegals have raised the stakes and have begun to alienate their friends and potential allies. This is going to force the Democrat party to make a choice, which is obvious, and reveal their true colors. The latest gambit of the Mexican illegals is to demonstrate using language that would, if used by a white person, result in a few days in jail.
“Nigger go back to Africa” and “Pilgrims go Home” are not the kind of slogans that attract people to your cause. Further there is resentment among those who have immigrated recently that feel they followed the rules why shouldn’t everyone else.
Black citizens are beginning to feel isolated and deserted. The Democrat party is going to embrace the Hispanic illegals and support them because they are a larger potential voting block. This will drive some African-Americans to the Republicans, who are probably incapable of recognizing this opportunity, and will push others out of the process completely. The social and economic divide in the United States will widen and the political system will deteriorate further.
When a group achieves its political aims through force or intimidation they lose the inclination to compromise. This is what is happening in the United States today. There will be violence between blacks and Hispanics; it is already happening in Los Angeles and it will spread to the other large cities. The cause of this is weak politicians who are only concerned about their jobs, the failure of the education system to indoctrinate students in American culture, and an economy that encourages businesses to ignore laws about hiring illegal aliens.

Stuck on Stickers
I never have and never will put a bumper sticker on my car. It is impertinent to feel that you can give people your views, in traffic, without escape, and without their asking for it. This blog is different: a reader must be looking for what is here. Further they can click out at anytime and / or send an anonymous comment to me. I see all kinds of stupid bumper stickers most of which I doubt that the driver even remembers putting on the car.
I guess, because I don’t know, that people use bumper stickers to make themselves feel good. For example I saw a white couple driving along with at least six stickers decrying racism and in fact taking the blame for racism themselves. How stupid can you get, and how insulting? The very presence of the bumper stickers proves that they haven’t thought through the concept of racism. Another, very popular by the way, “Regime change starts at home.” Again proving that liberals don’t know their own history and only want to appear witty, caring, and edgy. Since it was Bill Clinton and a Democrat congress that passed the Iraq regime change bill in 1998, they only appear dull, uninformed, childish, and boring.
Today I came across another that said “Practice Compassionate Impeachment.” The car had the obligatory Kerry/Edwards tag on it and the car itself was a Volvo. The driver, a late fifties aged male, apparently thought he was still beating the draft. These people are parodies of themselves. The world and its societies certainly have problems and they cannot be reduced to bumper sticker slogans. Solutions, such as they may be, require cooperation across the political spectrum; which is a fading dream at this point.

EuroCowardice
The Europeans, in particular the Dutch, are showing their true fearful colors. A female member of the Dutch parliament has basically been exiled to the United States for her outspoken view of Islam and its hateful tendencies among the more fanatical believers. Oh it’s fine to be outspoken in one’s criticism of the United States because it is safe to do so. There is no threat of assassination, maiming, expulsion from one’s home simply because one expresses doubts about the US and its citizens. Appeasement: that is Europe’s middle name. The result will be the disappearance of any unique European culture or identity by the year 2100, the state religion will be Islam and the state of the world will be more war. At least the Europeans won’t be asked to fight as they will have already surrendered. I wonder how many statues will be left in the Louvre.

Hillary Wakes Up Crazy
Hillary Clinton’s latest remarks about abortion show just how schizo the Democrat party is on the issue of abortion and most likely everything else. Her comments that a right wing conspiracy, reminiscent of her comments about Bill and Monica, are patently ridiculous and absurd they are also a lie. Abortion is the cornerstone of the Democrat Party and has been since 1973. Are these people to be trusted more than the Republicans?
What is at the root of her message? In a strange way the Democrat Party, and most likely all parties, are similar to Islam. The comparison is narrow and only partly analogous but here goes. Under the prescriptions of the Koran it is permissible to lie to an infidel if it furthers the cause of the brethren. So it is with the Democrats in the case of abortion. They know the majority of American voters are opposed to abortion in particular partial birth abortion. This tactic is one that all major liars espouse; tell the biggest lie possible some of it will be believed.
I think this particular lie will not wash, even though the Democrat Party seems to think that anyone who disagrees with them is an idiot and completely undeserving of respect. Many of the voters in the United States are savvy enough to tell truth from falsehood. It is however hilarious.
During the most recent Democrat Convention a pro-life party member was refused the right to address the floor. Now they blame conservatives for the success of their strategy. George Trys It On
Last night the president made an effort to educate the nation about illegal immigration. The job is too big for one speech. The points he made were very good for the most part but served more to underline the tremendous structural problems than to actually begin to resolve the issue. The United States needs more population but that population must be assimilated as citizens of the United States sharing a common culture. We do not need a multicultural society except to appreciate the differences while emphasizing the similarities.
Those who worry about an extra 200 million people over a 40 year period are wasting their time and energy. Raise the limits; enforce the language and civics requirements so that our new citizens will be complete and able to function according to our traditional values. Yes the borders should be secure, North and South; it is not up to the US to wilt from criticism by Mexico and Canada. Those two nations have very strict immigration enforcement do we hear complaints? For example a Honduran or Guatemalan coming into Mexico illegally is arrested and is considered a felon. They are immediately deported either back home or sent on their way to the US. As for Canada, just try and get through while in possession of a felony conviction; immediate turn-around is the treatment.
The real problem of illegal immigration is caused by a very weak and corrupt Mexican and Latino economic and political systems. People don’t leave home if they don’t have to. Once here these immigrants do not assimilate as quickly as is needed. A key to successful assimilation is language. The first step then is to eliminate any language but English in the schools and legal system. Without this requirement and underclass will be a fixed aspect of US society, one that is ruled by criminals within the group; just like their home countries today.
Freedom requires the ability to move physically, socially, and economically based on one’s skills. Without life skills and language capacity no one can successfully negotiate a social hierarchy. The chief failure in the US is its awful education system which is completely broken. The wacko left, teachers unions, and feel-gooders have abandoned the fundamentals of a successful life: reading, writing, and arithmetic. These three things are the cornerstones of success all else flows from them.
George Bush has made a stab at resolution but it will prove inadequate to the need and will most likely have disturbing consequences if the basics are not addressed first.

Monitor My Phone
One reason there is so much excitement about the NSA data collection story is that most people think the world began when they were born. Well certainly their world began but the slightest exhibition of curiosity would tell them that something happened before their birth; if only their conception. The security agencies of the United States, and most likely other nations who could afford it, have been keeping track of communications since it became possible in the late 1940s.
I served in the US military from 1966-1970 and can assure you that we were told that all communications in the United States were monitored by the CIA. In fact there is a famous, huge, black building in Washington DC that houses the crypto code breaking organization. Every US military base has a similar operation. These listening posts check for patterns of communication, word association, and order to determine if a threat is imminent.
The current uproar is ridiculous. There is hardly any privacy left in the US and certainly not in the rest of the world. Americans behave like naïve children. This very communication is being monitored if only by my ISP, hackers are able to track every keystroke made on anyone’s computer. Credit card companies know more about their customers than do the customers themselves.
I think the Democrats have overreached on this issue. Their outrage is false as is most of what they claim to hold dear. It is essential that the US protect itself from its enemies, among whom the wacko Left might be included, that is the only real job of the federal government. The hearings on this matter will be very interesting, especially those pertaining to the phone companies’ complicity. In 1994 the Democrat controlled congress passed a law, signed by Bill Clinton, to force the communications companies to reveal customer names and numbers without a warrant. This answer to why phone monitoring is legal might come back to haunt them.

A Day Without Mexicans
I could have used a day without Mexicans yesterday. I enjoy golf for the usual reasons, it’s fun, normally pastoral, and mostly quiet; not yesterday. It seemed that a host of Mexican workers had descended on the course driving tractors, trucks, leaf-blowers, using rakes, and generally getting in the way rather noisily. The place I usually play is a magnificent municipal golf course maintained by a foundation and by taxes, and fees.
As we were being tormented by these intrusive workers I began to wonder just how many of them were legal immigrants and who was charged with ensuring this that they were eligible for employment. Their presence has been slowly gaining momentum over the past two years and now they have completely displaced all the former workers who were white or African –American. This leads me to believe that our local government is employing illegal aliens while the local politicians decry their presence.
Apparently the new taboo is the discussion of who has a green card and who doesn’t and what to do about it. The problem must be addressed and the only way to do so is to face reality. They are here and must be assimilated. No multilingual curriculum, no acceptance of their culture as a primary one, they must speak English or decamp. They must learn the history of the United States so they can become a part of the nation. We must maintain our sense of nationalism. It makes a difference, bring them in, welcome them, and train them.
I realize that my wimpy liberal friends will disagree because they don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings; well no one’s but mine. Liberals would have you believe that the United States is a monster and deserves to disappear, that democracy doesn’t work, (remember the dictatorship of the proletariat?). The response to the recent letter from the Iranian president proves my point.
The Western portion of the United States is under siege and I don’t expect it to survive the onslaught. We will be petitioning to have English restored at least as a second language.
A day without Mexicans, at least on the golf course, sounds really nice.

Why Democrats Hate Condolezza Rice
Condolezza Rice is a brilliant person. That is one reason why the Democrats despise her. The other reason is that she is black. She has left the plantation and is a runaway slave. Blacks are not allowed to espouse any views other than those specified by their masters; in the US this means if they don’t vote Democrat they are by definition insane. Of course the Democrats have not fulfilled their promises to those Americans of African heritage, but that doesn’t matter only what the master says counts.
So the Al Frankenheimers and Howard Deans of the world attack and disparage her and others who might strike out on their own. The deem them traitors to their race, of course most of the power in the Democrat party is held by whites and mostly white men. Is anything wrong with this picture? Blacks are in trouble in their own party now that Hispanics are becoming the largest minority group in the United States.
The Democrats will continue to take blacks for granted and concentrate on the newest group of entitlement seekers. The Republicans are too cowardly to go after the Democrats on this or, apparently, any other issue. How the Republicans attracted Condolezza is a mystery as she is a strong, astute person who is of great value to the United States.
Recently the Democrats gave Geena Davis an award for portraying a character on television: the first woman president. During the ceremony they bemoaned the fact that the US has not elected a woman as president. The comments ranged from no woman has been given a chance, it’s time for a woman president, etc. Are these people stupid? If the Democrats believe what they are saying why don’t they nominate a woman for president? If the Republicans nominate a woman for president will the Democrats vote for her on the simple basis that it is time for a woman president?

Conspiracy theories
Conspiracy theories and the theorists are boring. If often seems that there is a malicious edge to such things as much as there is an obvious desire to change history to meet the needs of the conspiracy nut. There are conspiracies, but they don’t remain secret for very long because human beings are involved. Ben Franklin once said that two people can keep a secret; if one of them is dead. Conspiracy theories evolve from false premises and follow the inevitable false logic derived therefrom.
Did the CIA and the Mafia kill President Kennedy? Did Franklin Roosevelt ignore warnings and even secretly provoke the Japanese to bomb Pearl Harbor? Is the Holocaust a figment of Dwight Eisenhower’s imagination (along with about 20,000 GI’s)? Did 9/11 serve the purpose of George Bush? Let’s take a look at the last and probably nuttiest theory.
George Bush is constantly derided as an imbecile, a hopeless moron basically unable to tie his own shoes. This type of rant is heard constantly especially from Democrats and Hollywood Brainiacs. So let’s ask the question “If George is so stupid how did he fool so many people?” the answer is simple, first of all he is smarter than most of his critics and he didn’t have to fool anyone; the Saudi’s attacked the United States on 9/11/2001. If there is a valid theory of conspiracy it begins after the attack not before.
It is a conspiracy of silence not commission. The planes that hit the pentagon, the world trade center, and the ground in Pennsylvania were not under the control of the US. In fact they really did exist, it is possible to make a cell phone call from 30,000 feet or more, the 18,000 degree fire did collapse the building, it came down as it went up floor by floor, the so-called secondary explosions were the plastic and metal contents of the offices exploding when seared.
The real conspiracy is the question of why the US and Saudi Arabia are still friends. Why didn’t we retaliate against them instead of Afghanistan? It is certain that the Pakistani’s and Saudi’s could arrest Bin Laden immediately if it suited their purposes.

The UN. At it again
I notice that the UN is going to examine the United States for possible violations of the “worldwide” ban on torture. Is this some kind of joke? No it is not, it does show why many Americans consider the UN irrelevant. What is happening in Darfur that the UN could get involved in? How about Cuba, any chance of torture going on there? Maybe Syria has some inclination to torture, or even that beacon of enlightenment Osama Bin Laden has experience in this area. Is it possible that China, North Korea, Venezuela, or Saudi Arabia have personnel dedicated to the task of inflicting pain in search of information?
The United Nations is a wonderful idea gone horribly wrong. The only thing to its credit, and its not a small thing, is that while there have been many small wars there have been no truly devastating ones since 1939-1945. Lip service and outright dishonesty are the hallmarks of the UN. In the United States the feeling among everyone except the Far Left is that the UN should be disbanded and not replaced. Sell the real estate and divide the proceeds among the members. Send the diplomats home to whatever fate awaits them. The situation in the world will decline only slightly and will probably improve.
The criminals running most nations in Africa and Latin America will of course remain, as they would under a flourishing UN. At the very least the United States should discontinue its payment of dues as the money is invariably wasted. The UN is merely a vehicle for the latest Far Left scare tactic; from Global Warming to Nuclear Proliferation. Cynicism rules the day in conversations about what to do. Send in peacekeepers to rape the women, molest the children, and steal from the already destitute, these are behaviors that are well documented by the UN itself. Of course the charges are being studied, taken under advisement, and swept under the rug. Kofi Anan is and has been one of the worst secretary generals to have disgraced the halls of the UN building.
The United States is one of the few countries on the planet that has very little to be ashamed of with regard to its behavior. This will strike many as an offensive assertion. Their reaction is based on jealousy, hatred, and admiration despite themselves. The “intellectual elite” of European nations disdain the US mainly because they have it made but no one else in their society can advance readily. The US offers upward mobility, freedom, liberty, self-expression and all the other things the human spirit needs. The United Nations is a wonderful idea gone horribly wrong. The only thing to its credit, and its not a small thing, is that while there have been many small wars there have been no truly devastating ones since 1939-1945. Lip service and outright dishonesty are the hallmarks of the UN. In the United States the feeling among everyone except the Far Left is that the UN should be disbanded and not replaced. Sell the real estate and divide the proceeds among the members. Send the diplomats home to whatever fate awaits them. The situation in the world will decline only slightly and will probably improve.
The criminals running most nations in Africa and Latin America will of course remain, as they would under a flourishing UN. At the very least the United States should discontinue its payment of dues as the money is invariably wasted. The UN is merely a vehicle for the latest Far Left scare tactic; from Global Warming to Nuclear Proliferation. Cynicism rules the day in conversations about what to do. Send in peacekeepers to rape the women, molest the children, and steal from the already destitute, these are behaviors that are well documented by the UN itself. Of course the charges are being studied, taken under advisement, and swept under the rug. Kofi Anan is and has been one of the worst secretary generals to have disgraced the halls of the UN building.
The United States is one of the few countries on the planet that has very little to be ashamed of with regard to its behavior. This will strike many as an offensive assertion. Their reaction is based on jealousy, hatred, and admiration despite themselves. The “intellectual elite” of European nations disdain the US mainly because they have it made but no one else in their society can advance readily. The US offers upward mobility, freedom, liberty, self-expression and all the other things the human spirit needs. Immigration rhetoric
Immigration rhetoric has degenerated into single issue causes which means that very little progress can or will be made. Politicians are not leaders. This means that they must please their constituents in order to get re-elected. Most of the current demagogues are local, vocal, and loud which is frightening the tax fund sponsored officials into reconsidering their chances of retaining their jobs. How can they please their districts and return to Washington?
The situation has gone way past Mexican illegal immigration. Now the blacks have weighed in on Haitian’s being forcibly returned while Hispanics are not, at least not to the extent required by law. This is going to raise issues in states with heavy black voter turnout. Black citizens are easily led and manipulated just take a look at the Duke Lacrosse Team problem. Any disadvantaged group, (see Mexico), is on the defensive and is ultra-sensitive to criticism. Political unity in the United States is in intensive care and not expected to recover any time soon, which leads to the conclusion that not much can get done.
The extent of the problem is reflected in the Mexican demagoguery that merely lashes out at Anglos as responsible for all the world’s difficulties; these people are natural born liberal wacko’s and will be loved by Nancy Pelosi. The immigration crisis will most likely go the way of the gas price ruckus: no where. The political discussion will slip further towards name calling and self-serving accusations but no positive action will be put forward because it is too dangerous politically.
The root cause of the problem is that Mexico and most Latin American countries are corrupt, or governed by dictators, or have economic policies that favor the few. What else can the citizens, hated and disdained by their own, do about their plight? They must come north and here they are. From compassion we must find a way to properly deal with this situation while ignoring the rhetoric that inflames the anxious, irritates the ignorant, and does nothing to advance thinking.

Asta la vista amigo
The Mexicans weren’t very invisible yesterday and the country did not grind to a halt. Democracy in the United States is disappearing and the reason is that the wacko left, who includes most Democrats, believes that democracy is for dopes. Their preference is to replace elections with intimidation, responsibility with constituent bribery, love of country and sense of purpose with empty slogans. The media are pathetic and probably always have been, without extensive television coverage there would be no purpose for such things as yesterday’s “rallies.”
The liberals in this country are lost; they miss the 60s, even though many weren’t even born then, because it gives them a reason to misbehave. These are the most childish adults you will ever meet. Many of course are Marxists gone to seed, the rest are simply trying to give meaning to their lives by making the rest of us miserable. They cannot stay focused long enough to even consider the issues that outrage them. They wring their hands over oil company profits, without which they would be scrambling for the “Mexican jobs.” They embrace the likes of Al Gore and his nutty conclusions about climate change. By the way if the climate didn’t change we would still be under a sheet of ice. These are the same people that take a novel, The DaVinci Code, and convert it to history. Want choices? Forget it. With this crowd in charge the only people making choices will be the political elite, the rest of us will be following orders.
Illegal immigration is a crime against the laws of the United States of America. That there is even a question about this proves the point that the liberals hate this country and consider it an illegitimate entity. Try immigrating to Mexico from Guatemala illegally. It is a felonious crime not a misdemeanor. The political culture of Mexico is that of corrupt violence. Why are all these people fleeing their country? It is a large place with fairly large population, immense resources ruled by gangsters. Murder, mayhem, and fiscal corruption is the order of the day. Kidnapping is a big business; respect for authority is non-existent because respect must be earned. This is the culture they are bringing to the United States. That this is true is proven by the increase in crime as these migrants find their way into the cities and towns.
Justification of their behavior is simply we are here and you have to like it. The United States is a country like no other and for that reason is the object of jealousy, derision, hatred, and fear. Other countries politicians or rulers are afraid that what the US possesses, liberty and freedom might spread to their domain which would result in their fall from power. It is no wonder that so many people want to come here, but once here they should be Americans and not hyphenated citizens.
The United States needs immigrants, abortion has already reduced our numbers by 40 million since 1973, but the process should be orderly and the requirements designed to bolster the sense of citizenship. Success through bully tactics is weak and breeds contempt, which is why amnesty is not the solution. Raise the quotas or eliminate them and streamline the process at embassies to welcome new comers. Until something like that happens events like yesterday will continue and will continue to be meaningless.

Do People really think
Gas prices will probably continue to rise for several years. Of course this is due to the situations in China and India but there is something else to consider. The politics of gasoline are disgraceful. It is easy to belabor the democrats (oops no pun intended) but the complexities of their coalition make coherence a difficult thing to attain. By definition they are opposed to energy independence, by inclination they harp on the social problems caused by high fuel costs because they can’t help themselves. The Republicans are cowards, like abused dogs, around the Democrat demagogues and are too frightened to take a stand.
The public has to suffer, so what, the public is partly responsible for the high price of gasoline by having abdicated their responsibilities. Why is this true? Most US citizens have been trained to not think critically when the exact opposite is what is needed most. Most people take what is presented in the various media forms as true without questioning if the story makes sense. Is it true that drilling in ANWAR will be a bad thing? Is it true that all Republicans are corrupt and no Democrat is culpable? Is it true that 400,000 people a year die from lung cancer, obesity, etc? Is it true that someone else should make choices for the majority?
Until the public stops waiting for the elected government to act before polls come out or stop taking bribes from lobbyists the situation will change very little. There was a very interesting perspective on this issue. Senator Reid was quoted as saying that lobbyists had blocked a certain bill, the commentator pointed out something that most people let slip by: lobbyists can’t vote only senators and representatives can.
As long as the public takes the wacko left seriously single issue politics will continue to cripple our society.

Is there happiness?
Why do certain people succeed in professional selling and others fail? The answer is fairly simple: to be successful at anything it must be something you would do for the fun of it. Without oversimplifying the question personal satisfaction must be at the heart of any human activity. A person considering the field of professional sales must make quite a few decisions first among which are : is problem solution something pleasurable, is meeting the needs of others enjoyable, is educating customers in the chosen field stimulating, integrity , a sense of humor, and a certain joie de vive are essential to success.
Anyone who answers positively to the above questions can not fail. Professional selling is one of the highest paid professions for a reason; it is difficult. The same can be said for any profession because success requires constant learning, and commitment to excellence. That may sound trite but think about how much excellence is found in everyday life. There isn’t as much as one might think especially under close examination. Many people work for the money instead of for the fun and life enhancing experiences work can bring. Financial success is relatively easy to achieve, personal happiness is another thing altogether.
